Spider Veins
Spider veins are dilated surface veins which can be seen,
but are usually not felt. They are fine, branching networks of
red, purple or blue veins. Spider veins are often associated
with a burning sensation in the surrounding skin. They occur
anywhere, but are most commonly found on the legs.

Factors that increase the development of spider veins:

  • Heredity.

  • Prolonged sitting or standing.

  • Pregnancy.

  • Lack of exercise.

  • Hormone containing medications.

  • Hormonal fluctuation.

  • Trauma.
